Total Health Care is a multidisciplinary health service working conjointly to provide medical, psychiatric, psychological, and dietetic treatments in one setting across the age spectrum.

Founded in 2008, the practice is led by Professor Michael Kohn and has a diverse group of experienced practitioners from a wide range of disciplines.

Total Health Care can be found at 35 Spring Street in Bondi Junction.

The easiest way to access our office is to take the lifts on the ground floor entrance to the building on Spring Street to Level 3. Depending upon which lift you enter we are either in front of or to the left as you walk out of the lifts on Level 3.

Yes, if you would like to submit a claim through Medicare in order to receive a rebate, a referral is required.

Referrals from your GP are valid for 12 months, whilst referrals from Specialists are ONLY valid for 3 months.

If you do not have a valid referral for your visit, you will not be eligible to claim any Medicare rebate for your visit. Therefore you will be required to pay the full private fee without any Medicare rebate.

Yes, at Total Health Care we offer telepractice appointments as well as face-to-face appointments.

A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is provided by your GP. You will be able to claim a portion of the consultation fee as a Medicare rebate. Patient MHCP referrals are typically valid for 1 year from the start date of the referral.

Patients are eligible for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Initially, patients are able to access 6 of the 10 sessions under their plan. A review by your GP is required for the subsequent further 4 sessions if required within the calendar year.

Enhanced Primary Care (EPC), also known as Chronic Disease Management (CDM), in which a GP services a plan to enable the coordination of a patients multidisciplinary, team-based health care. A patient suffering with a chronic or terminal medical condition who would require care from their GP and at least two other health or care providers. You will be able to claim a portion of the consultation fee as a Medicare rebate.

Eating Disorder Plan (EDP), is provided by your GP to delivery psychological or dietetic treatment for a clinical diagnosis of an eating disorders. This plan would allow a claim to be made for a portion of the consultation fee as a Medicare rebate. 40 psychological consultations in a 12 month period and dietetic consultations up to a total of 20 in a 12 month period.

Practitioners and reception staff at THC are subject to the Privacy Act 1988 and must comply with obligations related to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information, including through telepractice. The practitioner must maintain confidentiality and privacy standards during sessions, and in creating, keeping, and transmitting records.
