Dr Madhuri Jain (MBBS, DNB, FRACP) is a Developmental Paediatrician with over 16 years of experience. She is passionate about providing holistic care to children, adolescents and families.
She completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate training in India and subsequently trained at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead plus The John Hunter Children’s Hospital, Newcastle. Dr Jain has extensive general paediatrics experience with special interest in adolescent health, complex medical issues, functional disorders, Neurodevelopmental conditions (ADHD, Autism & developmental delay), and gender diversity.
Currently, Dr Jain is employed as a Staff Specialist General Paediatrician at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead where she maintains her acute skills by working in the emergency department on a regular basis. She also works as a Staff Specialist Paediatrician in Western Sydney at Integrated Community Health. Dr Jain is actively involved in university teaching & research-based activities and hold a conjoint lecturer position at University of Newcastle.
Dr Jain is a mother to two primary-aged children and knows from first-hand experience, how challenging and rewarding parenthood is. She is accredited to conduct ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule). She liaises with other allied health professionals to provide comprehensive neuro-cognitive assessments, behavioural strategies, and pharmacological treatment.
